Mazy and I had a great time going to basic obedience classes and I feel that it has done her a world of good.
I adopted Mazy from Four Legged Love rescue and signed her up for basic obedience within having her for only two weeks. I feel that the training that her and I received from Valerie paid off in a big way in making the adoption process go smoothly.
We look forward to the intermediate and advanced courses.
We didn't always practice the things we were taught in class, however I still believe that she improved just by being in the class. Having the outing together has been a great bonding experience.

"Where do I begin raving! Doggie Central is THE premium location for doggy anything! As a first time dog-owner, Doggie Central has been instrumental in making my transition into dog-parenthood much easier. They have great products and healthy treats, but the foremost benefit has been the training classes offered. I didn't know what to do with our puppy and how to communicate with her, but Doggie Central paved the way with classes that were fun, informative, and reassuring. The trainers are very patient and knowledgeable and they love dogs too, so our pup receives lots of attention. She loves going to Doggie Central and we love bringing her. The indoor facility for playtime is excellent too, especially in the winter! It's a great space, that is safe and fun and our dog has the opportunity to socialize with other dogs and people, which is great for our pets self-esteem (not to mention my own!). Our pup learned a lot through playing with other dogs, so having the opportunity to bring our young pup to Doggie Central to socialize was great. Doggie Central is awesome and we're thrilled to have such a wonderful service in the city."

"Charlie and Susie love going to Doggie Central as it has everything to suit their individual needs. Susie can run around with the other dogs in the huge play area and practice her agility tricks and Charlie can play in a more supervised setting in the smaller, gated area. The staff are always friendly and helpful and the venue is top notch. They always leave Doggie Central with great big doggie grins on their faces and promptly take a well deserved nap on the car ride home!"

Where to begin - I just want to say thank you to all the staff at Doggie Central who continue to make our experiences there enjoyable and enlightening. We may have a set of the smallest dogs who attend the free play and classes, but I do believe they are your biggest fans. Our female Chihuahua Odessa loves the free play as well as the agility and obedience classes. The socialization at free play is also doing wonders for our male Chi, Mr. Moe. We rescued him last May from an abusive home; he was extremely shy and nervous (because of fear). I can now say since coming to Doggie Central that although he's not perfect, he will leave our side and interact with the other dogs. Without Doggie Central, I doubt that would have been a possibility.
I can't say enough about how well trained all the staff is at Doggie Central; not only the trainers but all the staff from the moment you walk in the front door. Everyone who works there is kind and caring towards all the dogs that come in, and will impart any knowledge they have for any situation you may have with your dog. I wish I could better put into words the feelings I want to express about the people and dogs at Doggie Central. It's so good to know whether it's a Thursday, Saturday or Sunday that we can go and let our dogs be dogs and socialize with other well behaved dogs, and that they have a safe place to run and play. Thank you again for all you've done for us and our dogs.

"It was one of those cold, gray, rainy, January days in Ontario and I just didn't think I could drag myself and my 120 lb Great Dane puppy out for a walk in the muck (and believe me, a dog this size that doesn't get her proper exercise and stimulation can do MAJOR damage around the house, as I have already experienced). It was then that I remembered the bright green and blue flyer I'd received in the fall announcing a brand new state-of-the-art indoor dog park. Eureka!! I quickly located the flyer, made the call and loaded up the dog for our first adventure at Doggie Central. That was 2 months ago and now Ella is a regular at the doggie day care. She absolutely loves going to see her dog and human friends at Doggie Central and I love the fact that she gets to play with other dogs in a clean, safe and supervised environment. AND... did I mention that she is one pooped-out pup when she returns from an afternoon at the indoor dog park? Thank you Doggie Central"

The first time we went to a leash free park, our puppy weighed 4 pounds. We sat in the car and watched huge dogs enter the area, defecate in the snow and saw no effort made by the owners to retrieve and dispose of the excrement. We promptly left.
We would meet people who would talk about an indoor, leash free park just for small dogs. It took awhile before we could find out all we needed to know to find Doggie Central. Before we could attend, we had to fill out papers to state our dog had never been aggressive to people or canines. We had to provide proof of immunization. Lastly, we had to agree to follow the rules which included picking up after our dog. There are staff always present to monitor aggressive behaviour. For all those reasons, we feel safe and we are confident our dog is as protected as if she were in her own home.
And how does our dog feel about it all? She seems to have the corners memorized. When she has guessed where she is going, she starts to get so excited. If the car windows were not up I am certain she would jump out and race the car to get there.
The owners of Doggie Central are constantly finding ways to improve both sites. They welcome all feedback be it positive or bad. As we have been attending play sessions, using daycare, and buying a myriad of items in their retail area over the past eight months, I am certain there is very little bad. It is a great concept. We tell all who will listen about Doggie Central. May they thrive and grow.

"We first introduced Ella, our 2 year old rambunctious blonde lab, to Doggie Central in October of 2005. Since then, she has had countless days of fun and exercise at this great facility and we don't have to worry about what she is getting into while we are at work. Ella gets so excited going to Doggie Central in the morning that once we hit the intersection of Dundas Street and Neilson Drive, she barks the rest of way there. With all the running and playing Ella does at Doggie Day Care she comes home happy and very tired. Doggie Central offers a healthy, clean and socially stimulating environment for Ella. She gets the exercise she needs, keeps in shape and is able to socialize with people and other dogs. We never have to worry about her since all the staff treat her like a part of their own family. The facility is spotless and also offers a great selection of food, toys and doggie accessories. Lesley and Francesca are always pleasant and greet Ella with enthusiasm each and every day. I hope Doggie Central is around for a very long time."

"Taking Rocco to Doggie Central for daycare is the best decision we have ever made for him! It has been great for his development. He is being socialized with other dogs and we know that he is being taken care of by the "doggie sitters" that are always in the room with them. The facility is huge and there are many toys for him to play with, although I think Rocco likes the other dogs more than then anything else. The live webcam is the best part about Doggie Central's daycare service! I get to see first hand how much Rocco really enjoys his time there. When we pull up in the morning he is so excited! When we pick him up at night he is exhausted from his hard day of play. Thank you so much for providing such an outstanding service for our puppy - I know he thanks you as well!"

"What I love about doggie central? It's clean!!! We recently moved and as a result needed to find a new doggie daycare, and although it's slightly out of the way then the previous one, it's well worth it simply because it's clean, well taken care of, my dogs loves it, good dog/adult supervision ratio and they even sell top of the line products. What's more...they offer courses to better yourself as a pet owner. What's more amazing then that. All I have to say is it's well worth it!!! "I just wanted to let you know that I am so grateful that I found you all at Doggie Central. DJ and Daisy just love coming to Daycare-they don't even want to come home at the end of day. Most of all I appreciate the personal attention and care both my bullies receive and I just love watching them on the web cam during the day. You and the staff are professional and just really love dogs. Danny and I want to thank-you for making it possible for us to go a vacation- we had not been on vacation since we got DJ- who is seven. If I hadn't found Doggie Central we probably would have never gone on vacation- Francesca and her family were just amazing with our kids. We just love all the "holiday" pictures they took of DJ and Daisy for us. Also, the bulldog meet ups we do once a month at your facility is a great hit. "Without Doggie Central's training courses, I truely believe that my dog Casey woud still be a little menace around the house and on walks. She would pull at strangers, bark endlessly in the house and our walls and blinds were ruined by her constant chewing. We have now attended the beginner and intermediate training classes and with the help of our trainer Penny, have put Casey's bad behaviours behind her. It has taught me a great deal on how my dog thinks and how my behaviour can change hers for the better.
Since our training classes, even our neighbours have noticed a change in Casey. She's more confident around other dogs and she's definitely less frightened and aggressive towards strangers while on walks. Thanks to the training, Casey is happier.. and so are we. Thanks Doggie Central!"

"On New Years Eve we finally got to bring home our little fur ball, an eight week old baby Bichon, whom we called Jake. What a pleasure he is. We thought that after a couple of weeks adjusting, we would be able to go to work and leave him home alone, checking on him during lunch hour. We found we just couldn't do that. We were trying to re-arrange work schedules so that Jake wouldn't have to spend too much time alone. That too was becoming a hassle. Just by coincidence, an acquaintance mentioned an indoor dog park, located not too far from our home. I thought "that is not what I need, I need somewhere to be able to leave him". Lo and behold --- Doggie Central has daycare! We called the next day, and Jake was able to start right away. The first day was nerve-wrecking, leaving him all day, not knowing how he would react. I called, and was reassured that he was doing fine. The second day was easier, and so on. We have watched Jake at the daycare via the webcam broadcast and can see that he is doing just fine (and the webcam also gives our families who live in another province an opportunity to see him at his finest). He is sleeping before we get home in the car, and he spends the rest of the evening just relaxing or sleeping---24 hour daycare!!!!!!!! To see him now, when we arrive in the morning --- he heads straight to the front door, and when he sees Lesley and Francesca, he just goes crazy. He knows the fun is beginning. It gives me a good feeling knowing that he is being treated well. The whole facility appears immaculate. A couple of times already, I arranged for Jake to have his bath while he was there, and he was so white and fluffy when I picked him up. On top of all of the conveniences and peace of mind from having Jake at Doggie Central, what it has done for his socialization is remarkable. We are able to take him anywhere, and he is able to associate with any dog that we have encountered so far. He thinks that it is playtime, all the time. I could go on and on. I just love the fact that the service is available, and I tell everyone I know (dog owners and non-dog owners alike) about it. What a great find!!!!!!!!!!!!"

I take my 11 month old Cockapoo, Maggie, to weekly indoor play sessions where she happily runs around, socializing with other dogs, while I network with the other dog owners. Doggie Central is both fun-filled and absolutely bursting with information. Maggie and I attend exceptional training sessions at Doggie Central. We both really benefit from the expertise of the trainers. Speaking of knowledge - I've even attended a "dog first aid course", as well as a "reading dog body language" session. Maggie and I are always greeted with friendly smiles, as well as an overview of all the trendy items that have just arrived. Doggie Central can also be reserved on weekends for private parties. Shhh…it's a surprise - I'm ordering a "doggy birthday cake" for all of Maggie's special guests."

When I brought Havoc to you the first time he jumped over the counter to greet Jeff and Lesley, who loved him from that moment, which is a lot more than I can say for the numerous others who have had Havoc jump all over them! After visiting and interviewing over 5 other obedience schools I enrolled Havoc in the Beginner course-After six classes he is a completely different dog!!-Well-behaved, knows sit, stay, down, down-stays, heel and numerous other commands, and the best thing is he has not jumped up on anyone since the second class (which is wonderful considering he weighs over 100 lbs!). I also commend you on the store, one that truly sells only healthy treats, and how available you have all been with advice about what is good and bad for Havoc. I do not know what I would do without the Doggie wash station! "The free play time is a wonderful opportunity for Lucy to play and socialize with her puppy-peers. Before coming to DC, she was very timid when approaching bigger dogs on our walks, but DC has allowed her to socialize with big and small dogs in a safe environment. The facility is bright and clean and organized for dogs of all sizes. Lucy loves to run and play with her DC friends (staff included), and looks forward to her "night out" each week. The merchandise at DC is incredible. There is always an assortment of new, unique and interesting toys, treats, clothes and other products - all at very reasonable prices! Cheers!"

"Our 7 month old Rottweiler, Duke, has been going to Doggie Central once or twice a week for about a month now. He loves the free play zone, where he has learned to interact appropriately with the other dogs. They have toys, agility equipment, the "Naughty Spot" and of-course and outside area for our friends to go to the bathroom. Our only problem is deciding who loves going more, us or the dog."
